Not The One You Claim

Intro
Yeah…
Show me who you really are…
Royal Wave Sound
Verse 1
I met you in the spotlight, talkin’ like you play it right
Said you always keep it honest, said you never switch sides
But I saw the little signs, messages you try to hide
You were busy takin’ chances while I gave you all my time

You keep sayin’ that you’re loyal, but the truth don’t feel the same
You be runnin’ after moments while you’re runnin’ from the blame
I’m not here to chase illusions, I’m not fallin’ for the game
If you want a real connection, girl, you gotta move the same

Pre-Chorus
I’m not here to fight for someone who won’t meet me halfway
If you want attention, baby, there are better ways
I’m not here to build a future you can’t even stay in
Tell me what you’re chasin’, tell me why you’re playin’

Chorus
’Cause when somebody wants you
They don’t treat your heart like nothing
Real ones stay beside you
They don’t run when love gets somethin’
No, I won’t be the one you blame
If you keep actin’ out this way
If you want someone loyal
Then you gotta be the same

Verse 2
You keep talkin’ ’bout your options, I’m not tryin’ to play along
I’m not here to prove my value just to end up proved wrong
If you’re lookin’ for some drama, you can take that down the hall
I’m lookin’ for somebody who can stand up when I fall

You say you want commitment, then you vanish in the night
You say you want stability, then switch up overnight
Baby, I’m not here to chase you through the shadows of your pride
If you wanna stay beside me, show me something real this time

Pre-Chorus
I’m not here to fight for someone who won’t meet me halfway
If you want attention, baby, there are better ways
I’m not here to build a future you can’t even stay in
Tell me what you’re chasin’, tell me why you’re playin’

Chorus
’Cause when somebody wants you
They don’t treat your heart like nothing
Real ones stay beside you
They don’t run when love gets somethin’
No, I won’t be the one you blame
If you keep actin’ out this way
If you want someone loyal
Then you gotta be the same

Bridge
Don’t pretend you didn’t know
You can’t plant a seed and never let it grow
If you want a chance at somethin’ real
Show me love you actually feel

Chorus
’Cause when somebody wants you
They don’t treat your heart like nothing
Real ones stay beside you
They don’t run when love gets somethin’
No, I won’t be the one you blame
If you keep actin’ out this way
If you want someone loyal
Then you gotta be the same

Outro
Yeah…
If you want someone loyal…
You gotta be the same…
