The drive

Thirteen hours of driving
What was I thinking?
Will I ever get there safely?
Watched all the tail lights blinking 
Six more rest stops, five for gas 
Cars going slow so I must pass 
Then I see their little faces and realize all the places that I had to drive through were worth it 
oh Kellen and Miles you know you have my heart. I’ve loved you like no other from the very start 
when I see those big sweet eyes then I start to realize how lucky I am to be your grandma. 
400 more miles. I’m almost there.
 and then I’ll get to see the cutest little pair of grandsons in the world 
The sun is going down and I hope you’re still awake 
By the time I get there and my world will start too quake
Can’t wait to see your faces when you open that front door 
then I’ll get 1 million. Hugs and then 1 million more.

One more hour, and then I’ll be knocking on your front door
